Glutenfree Pizza
The key to impressing your friends with gluten free meals. Surprise your guests with a quick fix of buckwheat pizza with homemade tomato sauce and your favourite toppings. Believe me, you’ll be highly praised as the new healthy chef in town.
INGREDIENTS
Pizza base
175g buckwheat flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
A pinch of salt
105ml water at room temperature
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 tsp apple cider vinegar
Toppings
1 portion of homemade tomato sauce
1 red chili
A handful of sundried tomatos
A handful of fresh coriander leaves
A handful of crushed Brazil nuts
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Preheat the oven at 200ºC. Meanwhile, prepare the pizza base. Place the dry ingredients in a medium bowl and whisk together. Then add the wet ingredients and stir to combine.
2. Divide the dough in two and place each half on a baking sheet. Cover with another baking sheet on top and roll to a 2mm thick disc. Transfer the pizza base to a baking tray.
3. Spread the tomato sauce with a spoon, sprinkle the finely chopped chili and top with sundried tomatoes.
4. Bake for 20 minutes or until crisp. Sprinkle with some olive oil, Brazil nuts and fresh coriander leaves, and enjoy right away.
TIP
Baking: rotate the tray after 20 minutes for an even bake.
